Folding:

At Springfield Printing, we offer gate, accordion and barrel folding capabilities, as well as ancillary services such as scoring and perfing to complement a wide range of applications.

Saddle Stitching:
Saddle stitching is a timeless and cost effective binding method for many products, including booklets, mail pieces, calendars and more. Our high-speed Muller Martini saddle stitching system features six pockets plus cover feeder as well as small format capabilities.

Cutting:
High-speed cutting is an important aspect to almost any post press project. At Springfield Printing we have 2 Polar cutting systems capable of precision cutting at high production speeds.

Perfect Binding:
Perfect binding is a versatile and attractive solution that’s ideal for many book applications, including catalogs, manuals, and annual reports.

For book projects such as cookbooks, textbooks and reference books that have to lie flat, we offer Layflat Adhesive binding. The layflat process involves applying glue down the spine of a book block, which adheres to a crash paper liner. Once the pages are firmly attached to the crash sheet, glue is applied to the sides of the book block, holding the cover in place.

Other options include PUR adhesive binding, the strongest and most durable adhesive binding method available, and Notch binding, which is a process whereby "notches" are removed from the spine of signatures resulting in stronger adhesion. Use notch binding for difficult stocks.

Collating and gathering is an often unseen yet crucial step in the success of many print projects. At Springfield Printing, we offer fast and accurate collating and gathering services that let you be creative with your stock selection and layouts.
